5 Fat Loss Tips

Here are 5 ways you can shed fat. Some basic info you can all incorporate into your everyday life.
1. Cut out all processed food. If it doesn’t grow from the ground, breath or grow on trees/bush’s, don’t eat it.
2. Exercise, the more you exercise the better, generally.
3. Drink Green Tea. Its been shown to reduce fat stores, especially around the stomach.
4. Have a work out buddy. They will improve the intensity of your session, dedication and development. Pick a good person though, someone who won’t negatively impact your training.
5. Spice it up! Chilli has been shown to increase your metabolism and boost fat loss results.

I do all of those things, minus the cutting out processed foods. Which is why, no matter how much I exercise, I can’t lose any fat. I’m pescetarian and I haven’t eaten any fast food in years, but like… pizza. I don’t know. I eat mostly just fine, but I think I eat too much.

Having seen the photos you post here, Samantha, I do not think you need to try to LOSE any weight.
I’d like to be lighter, but only if I can be LEANER, strong and lean, you know?
I think my diet is OK, very little processed food, lots of from-scratch cooking, but, like Samantha, I luurve my food.
And exercise makes me HUNGRY HUNGRY , nom noms all around. It’s at these times that I try to have one of the healthier snack options available to me, nuts, fruit, oatcakes….. Water
But it it hard, and some people are better responders to exercise and dietary intervention than others because of reasons (such as Melissa’s) age (I’m forty this year, I have kids, blah blah).
But will have a go at the advice here, and look forward to feeling leaner and stronger!
Apart from workout buddy. I . Just. Don’t. Share. Exercise.
Ooohhhhh, maybe THAT’S the thing I should change?

I’m terrible at 1) I just like my processed sandwich meat too much but I’m trying all the others as of this week, even thinking of starting a weekly blog post chronicling my way towards the loss of my wibbley bum. Any recommendations on what green tea is good tasting? I find I dont really like it.
As an aside do you have any pointers on the best way to track fitness and food intake? I’m looking into the nike fuel band and the fitbit one. Currently I’m using my fitness pal to track my eating but I’m finding it not motivating enough to get the exercise in too. And I’m on my feet all day and feel like it doesn’t count for enough. I haven’t braved running yet so I don’t think nike+ is much use right now.
The best way to track food intake is a food diary. Write down absolutely everything you eat as you eat it. Then you will be able to see exactly what you ate and calculate calories etc from it.
I have a Nike+. They are good for counting general activity, so you will see a fluctuation between sitting on the sofa all day and walking around all day. If your going to go for runs they are good to track your outgoings, however dont believe the calorie counter it has. I think its way off.
